Grammy's Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

This is Grammy's old recipe. These are so easy, go ahead and let the kids join in!

Makes 3 dozen

1/2 c. butter

1/2 c. granulated sugar

1/4 c. brown sugar

1 beaten egg

1 T. water

1/2 t. vanilla extract

1 1/4 c. flour

1/4 t. salt

1/2 t. baking soda

8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped

1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 325 F. Thoroughly cream butter and sugars; add egg, water, and vanilla and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients. Add chocolate and nuts. Drop from teaspoon, 2 inches apart, onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes.
