Easy Fudge to Make at Home

easy fudge

Easy Fudge

Makes 64 pieces

1 lb. good quality chocolate (milk or dark), chopped

1/4 c. unsalted butter

1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

1/8 t. salt

Line bottom of 8-inch square pan with parchment or wax paper. Heat all ingredients in double boiler, or in a metal bowl set over a pan of simmering water (barely simmering, not boiling) and stir until melted and smooth. Pour into pan and chill uncovered approx. 4 hours, until firm. Run a knife around edges of pan. Turn over onto work surface, remove paper, and cut into 1-inch squares.

Add some variety to this fudge recipe by sprinkling chopped nuts or coconut over the top before chilling.
