These Fresh Salsa Recipes Are So Easy, You'll Wonder Why You Ever Served Salsa from a Jar
Fresh Salsa 3 fresh tomatoes, chopped 1/2 c. diced onion 1-2 serrano chiles, finely diced (may replace with jalapeno, to taste) 1/2 c. chopped fresh cilantro 1 t. salt 2 t. lime juice Stir all ingredients together and serve. Tomatillo Salsa 1/2 lb. small fresh tomatillos, husked and rinsed 1 garlic clove, or more to taste 1 T. chopped fresh serrano or jalapeno chile with seeds, or more to taste 2 T. chopped cilantro 1-2 T. water or lime juice 1/2 t. salt Chop tomatillos, then place in blender with remaining ingredients, except water or lime juice. Blend until smooth, adding water or lime until desired consistency. Spicy Fruit Salsa 1 c. diced fresh mango 1 c. chopped fresh peach 1 clove garlic, minced 1-2 T. chopped fresh cilantro, to taste 1-2 serrano chile peppers, diced, to taste (or jalapeno, to taste) 1 T. fresh lime juice, or more to taste Combine fruit and garlic in bowl; add remaining ingredients to taste. May also add a dash of salt.
